The Monrovia School District Team won the trivia competition when it solved the winning phrase, “When you help someone gain literacy skills, you help them for life.” at the first annual Team Up! Dream Up! For Literacy.
The 2012 Literacy Tea Fundraiser welcomed guests to 144 guests to raise additional funds to support literacy and to raise awareness of this important program.
The inaugural “Alice’s Afternoon Tea” hosted 60 guests at 10 tables to learn about and support Monrovia Public Library Foundation’s community-building program for adult Literacy Services.
